QUESTION:
Can you supply the name of all forms required to purchase or sell a
house/condo without a realtor.
Is there a place where these forms can be obtained "on line" or can they
just be picked up at the Government Agent or Land title office?
Could you supply the address where the forms can be picked up in the Surrey
area.

If you need a form for your divorce, real estate sale, incorporation or
will, Diana Douglas usually has them. Diana's
Self Counsel Press has the real estate paperwork you are looking for on a CD
for $14.95.
You can get it at most book stores or go online to

Good luck, it is easy to make a serious mistake and I advise you to do one
or two things.
1. Find a realtor whom you like and pay him or her a sum to look over your
place and make some suggestions about the sale of the place.
2. Find a good lawyer or notary in advance and have them help you draft your
contract before you actually accept an offer. Make any acceptance you do
with the purchaser subject to your lawyer's approval.
3. Decide what you are going to do if a realtor does bring you an offer.
There is nothing stopping you from accepting an offer through a realtor and
paying him or her a fee for bringing the offer. You can make it a
percentage or a flat $1,000 or a flat $5,000. However, decide in advance
what you are prepared to pay. Then, if you are approached by a realtor with
an offer or who "says" he or she has an offer, "YOU" are in the driver's
seat because you already know what you are prepared to pay and how.
For the record, I was an agent nominee for my own real estate company and
have signed over 3,000 contracts for purchase and or sale on my own hook.
Been there, done that! Turned in my real estate licence and the company was
closed in Aug 2004 because of the divorce I was involved in at the time.
