US Taxes - request for quote - Free
MessageSubject: US Taxes - request for quote Dear Taxman: I am a dual US/Canadian citizen born in USA who aquired Canadian citizenship at a young age. I recently obtained my US social security number (May/05) to get my US Passport (Sep/05). Now I realize I should be filing US taxes after reading your articles on www.centa.com. I wish to retain your services to file a 2005 IRS tax return which may include 1040, 2555-EZ, TD F 90-22.1, and maybe other forms. I have savings over $10K (CDN), RRSP's, rental income, and earned income. Please quote a price for your services. Regards, GXXXXXX ================ david ingram replies: In these situations, you are to go back six years which means 2000 to 2005. If there are no Mutual fun sales, no stock sales, no rental houses and no self-employment, the usual charge would be about $1,000 to $1,600 to do the catch-up. Higher end if you have multiple RRSP's and bank accounts. lower end if just an employee with one or two bank accounts.
