QUESTION:
Hi there,
I saw you mentioned that if you manage to get your husband into
Canada as a visitor, then you won't need to meet the income tax
requirements to sponsor him. Is the same true for parents?
On a separate note, my husband is sponsoring me to the US. Will I
need a police report? How do I get it?

No, You must meet the income requirements to sponsor parents into
Canada.
For the purposes of your husband sponsoring you to the USA, you
must get a police certificate from all places you have lived in
since age 16.
Most, if not all, police forces are used to requests for police
certificates for immigration purposes.
Go to your local City police, OPP, QPP or RCMP station to get a
police report.
If, as your question suggests, you lived in another country b
before Canada, you will need a police certificate from there as
well.
You must get a police certificate from all the places you have
lived in since age 16.
