My partner & I are considering moving from Oregon to BC. We're just
in the initial "thinking about it" stage.
Right now, we've both retired early (both under 50), and obviously have
money in the US Stock Market. One of our concerns when thinking about
moving outside the US would deal with taxes and so forth. If we did move
to BC, I might go back to work, but maybe not. My partner would prefer
to stay retired. We've got enough money to live on in our current
situation, but are not sure how that would change if we moved to Canada.
What are your rates for discussing things with us?

I charge Cdn $400 / an hour for phone or in house consultations.
Note that there is no provision to move to Canada (or to the US for that
matter) for retirement.
You have to be a professional or skilled worker, entrepreneur, self-employed
(farmers or actor/artists only), business investor, or new spouse of a
Canadian (or an American in reverse).
Way back when, I had 9 offices in Oregon. Why are you moving from Oregon to
BC? Coos Bay with the dunes and ocean and cost of living is a wonderful
place for a retired person.
