visa to get financing in Canada- either for a house or
a car?

No if you are here for three months supervising the assembly of a computer
system.
Maybe if are somewhere in between.
It amazes me how hard it is for many qualified and credit worthy people to
get credit in the other country.
Cars are more difficult than a house because cars have a habit of leaving
the jurisdiction whereas a house has roots.
