Travel to Canada without Travel Document from the US -
QUESTION: Hi there, I am a Canadian citizen and US green card applicant. I submitted my travel document application recently via the Texas Service Center (20 days ago they received it). Do you have any idea how long these type of documents are taking. I was told about 30 to 60 days. I am due to travel back to Canada on May 26 and I was considering going without the document and getting a friend to check my mail and fed ex the document to me in Canada before I attempt to come home. I know this is risky. As far as I know the document is not required to leave the country (i.e. Canadian officials will not ask to see it) only to re-enter the US. What do yo think? Coming to Canada without your travel document would be worse. ===================================== Answers to this and other similar questions can be obtained free on Air every Sunday morning.
