[Correction] Working in the USA K-1 Visa david ingram
One thing about this list is that the mistakes are always pointed out. A Fiancee visa has been a K-1 for as long as I can remember. Duhh! That's the problem with answering questions at 1:18 in the morning. david David, N XXXXX here.. I talked to you recently in Vancouver..I am in Chicago. In this answer below you say that a fiance visa is an F1 visa.. I deal with international students here and the visa they get is an F1.. I don;t think the fiance visa is F1 ..(?) although you would think they would say S1 for student and F1 for fiance.. but hey a visitor is a B1 .. go figure. Anyway, just wanted to let you know... ----- Original Message ----- From: centapede at lists.centa.com To: CENTAPEDE Subject: Working in the USA F-1 Visa david ingram US CanadaIncome tax andimmigration expert - North Vancouver - CKBD radio on Fred Snyder Show,It's Your Money Date: Thu, 16 Dec 2004 01:18:43 -0800 > > > My_question_is: US-specific > Subject: Working in the USA > Expert: taxman at centa.com > Date: Thursday December 16, 2004 > Time: 12:25 AM -0800 > > QUESTION: > > I am engaged to an American-work for a Canadian company and will be selling > into the USA-what will it take to reside and work in the US on a regular > basis > -==========================--- > david ingram replies: > > Your fiancée can sponsor you into the USA on a fiancée visa (F-1) and that (F-1 should be K-1) > paperwork can be handled in Vancouver.
