QUESTION: I am currently studying at UBC in Vancouver, in my first year of a four year bachelor's program. I have British citizenship and am here on a study visa until August 31st, 2007. I am eager to find work as an actress and have been studying intently while up here but was told by a teacher that there was no hope of me getting a job as I don't have Canadian citizenship and no agent or casting director will take me on. Is there any way I can attempt to make it in acting here?

This is the self-assessment test for an individual to determine his or her eligibility to immigrate to Canada without being sponsored by a spouse.
If you get 67 points, you qualify to become a permanent resident and could work although it will not be overnight.
