Getting an ITIN for US tax purposes when you do not
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment My mother-in-law is thinking of selling real estate in the US and will, = on your advice, first obtain an ITIN. You advised her not to mail in the = form W7 but instead to take it to 104 Magnolia, Bellingham. Can you tell me = why she should do this? It is not easy for her to travel to Bellingham and mailing the form would be easier. She does not intend to list the = property in Mesa until November 2002 at the earliest. Thanks very much for an excellent service! ------------------------------------- It is just easier and faster to take the application to Bellingham. If she cannot do that, she has to send her original documentation away = or get US notarized copies to send. Getting US notarized copies is difficult. They can be notarized at the = US Consulate in Vancouver or you can go to a US lawyer like Greg Samuels at = 8th and Hemlock (734-4242). However, it is my experience that it is easier to go to the Bellingham office than it is to mail them. ingram www.centa.com 108-100 Park Royal South West Vancouver, BC, CANADA, V7T 1A2 (604) 913-9133 Fax (604) 913-9123 ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
